Could it be a corrupted download?

What exactly does the message say?

"This app can't run on your PC" To fid a version for your PC, check with the software provider. 

I removed all the Lenovo crap including the Start8 made by Pokki. Not sure if that is the issue.

No. I used Classic Shell that you can DL from ninite.com That worked so for now I am going to start using that as it is free. Stardock is better but they are difficult to reach. I tried creating a ticket and they got bounced back as SPAM so I gave up

There are some reasons you may have been bounced as spam(As listed in the email you received). Did you try posting to the forums for assistance?

It also seems you hadn't responded to my question about what Pokki is and Start8's relation to that. I'm unsure if that's us or something from lenovo. We're happy to help but we need more information.

So I had quite some difficulty with this at first. I was able to eventually get it to work. Several factors were prohibiting my install, such as Anti-Virus, which identified Start8 as a worm. Also, a couple of our network appliances were blocking the download process.

My resolution was to download the installer and the product key .csv "off the network" and place them on a flash drive. Then I disconnected the target PC from our network, disabled any anti-virus, and installed the application from the USB drive.

Worked the very first time.

Which antivirus were you using as we need to go find out why it is incorrectly suggesting it is a worm!

Also getting "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."  Using Windows 8.1 with Bing on a Dell Venue 8 Pro as the admin account and launching the app to Run as administrator.

Where did you download Start8 from?

That usually means the file is corrupted in some way.

It seems to have this issue for some PCs. I have tried it on Windows 8 installations with no AV or anything and it just won't install. I gave up.

billing19 - Perhaps you have Windows RT?

I'm getting the same error and I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center. Even when I removed my Anti Virus, it would not install. I downloaded the software multiple times from Stardock.com and each time the install failed.
