Offworld Trading Company v0.1.5062 Change Log

Mohawk Games has released a new patch today for Offworld Trading Company. We appreciate the feedback you have been giving so far, and players can update to this latest patch via Steam.


UI:

  • Fixed a new bug which prevented the chat from being selected in the Lobby
  • Fixed tool tip typo
  • Hacker array in-process tooltips fixed (thanks KahnAu!)
  • When unpausing, the game speed returns to the previous game speed instead of going to the default game speed. (Thanks Tylertoo!)
  • If you select another player's advanced building, you don't get the custom interface to act on that building. (Thanks WithinRafael!)
  • Fixed erroneous cursor displays when you're placing a building on an empty tile. (Thanks WithinRafael!)
  • Added client-side delay on bidding on auctions (currently .75 seconds) so that the player can't accidentally bid when another bid came in the frame before they place a bid. This may be a little long. I can lower it in response to feedback. (Thanks Ritashi!)
  • Added a UI panel when scanning the map that lists the bonuses for being the next player to found an HQ. You can hover over this area for the full list
  • Fixed full screen scrolling scroll up and to the right!
  • Added a UI panel with controls/information for the Colony Stock win condition
  • Fixed UI issue with construct building help showing wrong output (not being modified by handicap level) 
  • Tooltip corrections (Thanks Ori Avtalion!)
  • "Close change long" -> "Close change log" (Thanks WithinRafael!)
  • Tooltips no longer say that you get patents when you buy someone out (because that's incorrect!) (Thanks Pinstar!)
  • Change log tooltip grammar fixing. 
  • Refactoring how the change log gets serialized (Note: this change resets the "Welcome" and "Change Log" popups)
  • Edge scrolling and drag scrolling no longer conflict! 
  • "You" is not the player name in the campaign any more. It uses your steam account name instead. (Thanks Narkulus!) 
  • Added an option to enable/disable map scrolling by moving your cursor to the edge of the screen
  • Localizing single-player screen text 
  • Options screen now localized
 
Fixes:
  • Fix black screen when starting a game after playing back a replay file
  • Fixing HQ placement preview memory leak (thanks Venti9874)
  • Fixing memory leak on HQ border meshes
  • Fixed a layout bug where the price would wrap to a second line if it were above 3 digits
  • Fixed a bug which caused text to overflow outside of tooltips at some resolutions
  • Fixed bug that allowed building buildings on someone else's claim.
  • Fixing occasional crash on exit
  • Fixing building placement replacing terrain tile
  • Fixed memory leak when the resource lines are displayed. (Thank you Cla21!)
  • Fixing some delivery ship material memory leaks
  • Fixing planet pop after playing a tutorial
  • Fixed bug with dynamite taking resources from your stockpile
 

Audio:

  • Fixed an issue where the audio system would mess up if you found another geothermal after the first one.
  • Added sound effects for when you turn off & on buildings and turn off all of a certain type of building. (Still missing turn on all sound effect)
  • Added turn on all buildings of a type sound
 
AI/Game:
  • Can't outbid yourself in auctions
  • Perk auction will no longer give perks you can't use in a specific campaign scenario
  • Updated building icons to match the building art
  • Sabotage/Black Market notifications are now more prominently displayed in the top-center of the screen
  • Added Marathon Mode option
  • Added Change Speed option
  • Added Stock Delay option
  • Adding a frame limiter when application is minimized or Alt-Tabbed (thanks WithinRafael)
  • Since host migration is in, removed nagging about closing the game if you're the host.
  • Added quantity text to the specialty building icons in the player list so you can now see how many of each building type a player has constructed
  • All HQs bought by robotic HQs consume electronics instead of regular life support
  • Under Masquerade rules, the names of players are revealed after they are bought out
  • After a takeover, buildings which are unprofitable are turned off
  • If a player has 50% or more of the funds required to buy you out, a percentage value appears next to their name in the player list
  • SHIFT-launch now purchases the resources you need automatically (REGARDLESS OF IF ITS PROFITABLE!)
  • Team play: Hold down "shift" to toggle sharing on all resources.
  • Increase ice condensor output by 20%
  • Increase wind turbine output by 20%
  • No stock cooldown after buying last share of a company
  • Increase wind turbine output by 20%
  • Increase ice condensor output by 20%
  • Added Revenue/second to building help popups
  • Moving local save location from Documents\Offworld to Documents\My Games\Offworld to comply with Windows conventions (Note: this will reset your options)
  • Pleasure Dome tooltip now shows how much revenue it will generate when constructed. (Thanks Mirraj!)
  • CTRL+PrintScreen hi-res screenshots now work in the start screens too
  • New single player mode: Daily Game! Needs to be fleshed out more, but have fun!

Glad to see some of the improvements that have been in the livestreams make it to the patch! Can't wait to crack this open.
