The new patch has arrived!

I was looking at a random OTC stream when I noticed it showed the new UI. And sure enough the patch is loading now! Yay! :D

Do you see any patch notes anywhere?  I'm not at home.

you can see the patch notes in game after updating. Restart steam to make sure it updates OTC.

Well, one of the changes is a map called "daily challenge". It doesn't seem to save anything locally (maybe elsewhere, I don't know), but we could share results here: I just won playing Scientists. :)

I suspect they want statistics. Those are easier to get when everyone play on the same map.

Hearthmus on the OTC reddit posted the following.  Thank you Hearthmus, and I hope somehow, that I can just copy/paste this without the formatting going nuts.

 

  • CTRL+PrintScreen hi-res screenshots now work in the start screens too
  • UI: Added client-side delay on bidding on auctions (currently .75 seconds) so that the player can't accidentally bid when another bid came in the frame before they place a bid. This may be a little long. I can lower it in response to feedback. (Thanks Ritashi!)

I heard Soren explain that it should make the game last longer: yields are smaller, builds are more expendive etc. They have not tested this extensively, so our practice should prove that games indeed last longer.

After this patch my progress has partly been erased: the tutorials still shows as 'finished' but the singleplayer campaign has been reset, as if i've never played the campaign. (i can only start a new campaign, not resume)

Second: in the campaign, where one can 'hire engineers' (Labor Pool) before a new scenario, all the buildings no longer show their output, only their input.. This is kind of frustrating for me as i am only getting familiar with the game just a few days now and don't fully understand how everything works at the moment.. (once playing the scenario this information does show)

Also, in the same screen (Labor Pool), when one hovers the mouse over unavailable (grayed out) buildings, there no longer shows a 'tooltip' about what the building will do, for instance: input and output.
