4-Player Crash to Desktop, No Error Box

Hello, this is my first post since buying the Elite Founder's Edition back in the day, but I've encountered an error that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere yet.  Granted I may be missing something, so I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere.  But two of my friends just bought the game on sale last night and my group of four sat down the play it together.  Everything went smooth for one turn, then on the third player's second turn, he crashed to desktop with no dialogue box or any indication of what happened.  We held tight for a moment (About 30 seconds), deciding how to react, when the second player crashed in the exact same fashion, still no error box.  As host, I exit the game to the main menu and we prepare to start over, considering our auto-saves hadn't come into play yet by turn 2.  As I prepare to host a game, my game crashes, just like the others, but I wasn't even in an actual game yet, just in the menus.  Once the three of us have restarted, we place our faith in our fourth guy, who was the only one to not crash so far, and asked him to host.  He set up the game, this time on a smaller scale, and we launched.  During our load screens, we all got a warning of the host being lost, and our fourth guy's game crashed exactly like all of ours had.  In response, I did some research into the issue, but in our limited time, failed to find anything of substance.  I resumed the search this morning and still found no references to a systematic series of crashes like we experienced.  It only happened to each of us once in the time we spent trying it, and the order seemed random.  All four of us are running fairly high end computers, one of them even being a desktop.  I'll list the conditions of the match below.

Game 1

Immense Galaxy, 4 Humans (Terran, Drengin, Altarian, Yor, respectively) and 2 AI, Turn Count Win Condition Disabled, All other settings at Default, Autosave at 2, First Crashed during Turn 2.

Game 2

Large (I think was the setting's name?), 4 Humans (Yor, Terran, Drengin, Altarian) and 2 AI, All Settings Default, Autosave at 1, Crashed during Loading Screen for Host

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be more than willing to try them.  I'm hoping to convince the two who dropped the money on the sale that it was a good purchase, so we will hopefully give the game another go soon.  Thanks for the assistance, and again, I apologize if I've posted this in the wrong place, or if someone else has had similar issues, I just want to see the problem solved, or at least let Stardock know it exists.

I have a feeling the developers would be very interested in hearing about your crash, as they are focused on getting the game stable.  Suggestions - first, move this post to the support forum by editing the original post, selecting Categories in the header, and then selecting Support from the drop down list.  Second, check out this post and submit a ticket to make a formal report.

Thanks, I figured I'd done something incorrect.  I appreciate the easy to follow steps to amend that.  It should be in the right place now.  I'm working on running the Stardock Support Tool before I officially submit a ticket as well.  Thanks again for the help.  Hopefully we can find the root of this issue.

EDIT:

Upon trying to submit a ticket through the Kayako website, I have received a message saying

We encountered a problem (cross-site request forgery detected); please try again
Sorry, we encountered a problem (invalid department). Please start over.

four times in a row.  For some reason it won't let me submit the support ticket and I'm not sure why.  I have an attached file containing all the information that was requested for a support ticket, but it keeps rejecting me on the above claims.  I do not have a Kayako account, and therefore aren't signed in, so perhaps that is necessary?  Some guidance on getting this ticket to Stardock would be appreciated.  Thanks.

It's a Stardock website that's running software produced by Kayako.  I think.

Anyway, when I use it I first sign in with the userid and password that I use for the forums.

I tried that and it didn't take, so I went ahead and made an account using the same info as I use on here, but the submission still returned the same errors.  I'm not sure if the issue involves the attached files, the information I've entered, or what.  But I'd really like to get this to Stardock, but I'm not sure how if I can't get the ticket to go in.  Although it sounds like you haven't had this issue occur, so I'd understand if you've got no idea what's going on here.  I'll keep trying various entry methods and different text/attachments to see what happens in the mean time.  Thanks.

this issue has been caused by some of the files being to large i would suggest zipping them or posting them to a file hosting site like dropbox

Yeah, file size might cause an issue. I'd try linking like the other poster suggests, and if you still have issues just try an email to [email protected].

Yep, you guys were right, it was a file size issue.  Thanks for the help.  My ticket is officially in now, so hopefully it helps.  Tried playing again two nights ago with just three people and we had a very similar problem, didn't make it past turn 1.  Seems to work fine in single player though, very exciting to see the game progress.
