Please, PLEase, map markers, PLEASE

Ok I know I already posted this topic, but having just finished a large map I was VERY frustrated.   During early game exploring I located a hero statue and key minor race quest caves/monuments.  Being early game I was not strong enough to take out the baddies standing guard.  By the time I was able (mid game) , I spent 30 min trying to find them again.  Taking a lot of fun out of the game!

I know it is late in development but you need to take a look at adding some way to record key spots on the map.  Doesn’t have to include text, it could just be a marker I can lay down,  even if only on the paper map.  Something simple like altering the color of a tile would work. e.g ALT-Click on a tile and it  turns red, ALT-Click on it again and the original color pallet returns.

Maybe a way to record map coordinates in the quest report.... like a button to record/save location of active unit/army.  I think i saw on your stream a "GO TO" button on the pending B5 release, which i assume will center map on the quest destination spot.  If a "save Spot" button was added as described, the GO TO cycle between the user saves and you saved quest spot.

Again:  Please, PLEase, map markers, PLEASE

Other ideas?

I don't know if this helps, but when I have a location I want to remember, I send a scout there and set him on "guard". Then when I'm ready to go to the location, I just click the units icon to bring me there.

Thanks borg.  have used this method and it does work but with obvious limitations the biggest (at least for me) was using up valuable logistics
