Auction: Bidding multiple times

Funny thing that just happened to me in an AI game. A patent auction was happening and I didn't realize my touchpad was still on. All of a sudden I have consecutively bid up the auction to 112k because my palm was on my touchpad registering clicks. Funny I know but it did make me realize, how about the button locking out when you are the high bidder. Not just for this type of situation but also for the situation of accidentally bidding twice in a row, which I have done a few times.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure that the game should let you bid yourself up.  I agree with you, and suggest that the bid up button "grey out" when you're the highest bidder.

we're going to disallow bidding yourself up in the next patch.

I'd love if I could submit an auto-bid. "Just keep bidding until the bid amount gets over X".

I've purposely bid against myself just to drive up the value of high ticket things to the ballpark of what I know it is going to end up as. Let's face it, you and I know that free claim is not going for anything less than 10k.
