I think it would be nice in the main multiplayer lobby if there was a global chat, and a player count list, so you can talk with people before you make a lobby, and know if there are players around to join your lobby. that is all.
Soren mentioned on the Qt3 podcast that Stardock is developing it's own Battle.net style service which they expect to ship with the game as its online/mulitplayer hub.
Sweet. Man stardock is really getting its act together. galciv 3 is shaping up well and mohawk games is doing great on off world trading. I remember fondly the metaverse for galciv2 so stardock dares to do new things others dont and thats really cool in my book. I put them togehter with amplitude now in the top tier tbs makers. Sadly firaxis is no longer among them after the worse civ5 and BE. (albeit with the dlc civ5 is ok now. But it is not civ4 and the mp that was superior.)
