How the AI Used Offworld Markets

In a way that made me scratch my head

So apparently I was watching the replay of my last game, and I noticed the AI was purchasing the launch for the off-world market without having any of the resources. I watched it do this about a dozen or so times. Now I realize that you can just purchase the resources outright, and ship them off world; however, it still seemed a little "wrong" in terms of gameplay. Maybe I was just disappointed that I didn't think of doing that first? When you read the text of the description to launch the rocket, it makes it sound like you must have the hundred units in your stockpile, or at least that was the intent.

It probably bought the resources so quickly before sending them off that you don't even see them appear in the stockpile?  Kind of like how AutoSupply works (except it currently doesn't work for Offworld Markets as far as I can tell).  If the AIs funds weren't going down right as a new launch began, though...

That's how we play in the office. If you happen to have a stockpile of the most expensive resource to ship, great! But if you don't, you almost always are buying it to stuff into a rocket.

I can look at the phrasing of the Offworld Market to see if I can make it clearer.

Thanks for the feedback!
