[Mac OSX Yosemite] Sounds are significantly louder on the left speaker

When I play the game the sound (both effects and music) come mainly out of the left speaker. This happens both with headphones and without. I have used the Equalizer in the system settings and the sound is twice as loud when EQ'd all the way left compared to EQ'd all the way right.

I'm here to say that I have observed the same problem.  

I'm running on a MacBook Pro, Yosemite 10.10.2.

When using my headphones, the sound out of the left channel is way louder than the right.  I do not have any external speakers, so can only test the headphones.
