I completed the tutorial on my mac, but my experience was not great.

  • game started off in windowed mode and the window was larger than the screen
  • all the text is very hard to read. It is blurry on a mac. I tried it on Windows and it's not blurry.
  • one time, the game crashed while I was in the middle of a mission.
  • multiple times, the game crashed at the end of a mission after I clicked "exit game" from the stats screen
  • the fans were whirring, the computer was getting hot, things seemed sluggish at times.  this differs from when I switched to my windows partition on the exact same computer.

 

In the current state of things, I won't be playing this game on OSX until there are some fixes for the blurry text and crashes.

Found a fix for the Blurry text. If you can make out the Options menu (hard to do but possible), change the resolution to 1440x900 and that fixes the text. You can also choose Fullscreen in that window.

 

Devs, please make 1440x900 resolution the default for mac users.

Having a default for the OS is probably a bad idea.  That resolution may be good for you and maybe bad for other mac hardware.  What it should really be doing is detecting what your specific display can do and selecting that.

1400 x 900 is what I was using.  To be clear, 1400 x 900 has blurry text.  The other resolution has insanely unreadable gibberish with pixels scattered all over the screen.
