The original team behind Ultima Underworld are back to create a new kickstarter backed project Underworld Ascendant. This team also made other well known games like Thief.


I remember clearly seeing Ultima Underworld running at a game store and realising my PC, a 286, wasn't going to cut the mustard and that would need to start saving for a 386dx or maybe even a 486. This game was ahead of its time and I am excited to see they are reviving the franchise.

They are now in their final week of the kickstart campaign and they have almost met their goal.

 

Reading the material they have been putting out and reading about the talented people who are going to be creating this game I believe this could be a very nice new game. If you are considering supporting then head over now...
