Can't find 1.8 Battleground content

I just bought 1.8 Battleground from steam, fired up FE:LH and can't see any difference. Checked steam and the content is downloaded. Have also restarted computer. Still can't see any new content.

Am I missing something... I was expecting new maps at least?

There are new tactical battle maps, which are immediately obvious, or not; depending on how long you've played the game. 

The DLC also includes new map 'stamps' - sections of the overland map which the random map generator pulls from when it creates a new game.  So you won't see any entirely new maps per se, you'll just see more differentiation when playing with a randomly generated map.

Adding to what mqpiffle stated, the 1.8 part of your description is a bit off.... 1.8 is a free patch that was released around the same time as the battlegrounds DLC.

I've played the game lots. To be clear - I bought Battleground (ignore the 1.8 reference if that helps). Is the opening menu meant to be different because it is the same / and how does one choose stamps during the menu please, I can't see that option either?

Extremely helpful - thanks very much. I get stamps now... but tactical battle maps elude me, it was suggested that they should be really obvious - what menu please should I see them in?
