Map Editting w/ Mods Enabled

Noob Here

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to SoaSE but I've learned quickly with the Galaxy Forge and have used various other map making tools for other games like WC3, SCII, MC and so on.

Currently I am using Sins of the Prophets a popular Halo Mod that recreates a lot of Halo events and such

What I personally am trying to do is re-create specific battles from the Halo series timeline, for example a battle over an asteroid, a CCS Class vs a Paris-Class Frigate. I would easily be able to recreate this but I'm having an issue I cannot get past.

I cannot link planets together, the Galaxy Forge shows them linked and the map slection screen shows 3 planets and not 2, but when I launch the map there's only the two planets linked and the third one isn't even there, however this is ONLY WITH THE MOD ENABLED!

When the mod is disabled regardless of faction I can see the connection to the third planet, traverse to it and so on, but as stated when Sins of the Prophets is enabled the planets don't appear (as far as I can see as they're invisible or not there at all).

Is this just for this one mod or do many other mods have the same issue? If so, how do maps get made with mods being used, as the Sins of the Prophets authors had specific maps accustomed to the Halo series.

Maybe I'm asking for too much, I've attempted to contact three separate developers, if any of you have any suggestions for me, I'd be very thankful! Thanks!

I don't do map making, but I do mod so I expect I know what your problem is anyway.  Are you using the GalaxyScenarioDef file that goes with the mod?

For SOA2, we've got our own folder already set up for the mod, with an up to date file in there.  That way, anyone looking to create a map has a ready to use designer with all the mod assets available.  The problem you describe is likely a vanilla planet that doesn't exist in the mod, and thus isn't loaded with the map.  To fix it, you'd simply need to copy the GalaxyScenarioDef file from the mod, I recommend setting yourself up with a galaxy forge folder in the mod directory like we did for SOA2.  You'll avoid any overwrite issues with Steam that way.
