Window Blinds inside 8.1 virtualbox recommended?

Hi,

my PC specs:

3 ghz dual core amd 64 bit

500 MB graphic card (zotac)

host system lxubuntu 14.10 use virtualbox to get win8.1 working . Can`t  install such a unstable OS  as win 8.1 on my real PC.

Windows 7 is ways better. However i liked to see the real differwences between 8.1 and 7 when running window blinds.

My laptop runs fine with 8.1 ( except window blinds) after some hours of work and only with most applications ( in most cases only those that are running under wine too).

Is it possible to install window blinds on it ??

I would say yes, but you can't run Maximized/full screen-windows in virtual box. ;)

Whats funny:

Skinstudio dioes not work, skinstudio does. On my laptop with exact the same OS its the inverse XD.

Unstable is not something I would call Windows 8.1.

all good and well but why would you want to run windowblinds in a virtualbox while you could simply change skins in XYZ-ubuntu?

I don't know about VirtualBox, been a whle. But I run VMWare and can run maximized/full screen windows, no problem.

I use WindowBlinds on virtual machines with no real difference from a real OS.

lol i just think it would not look great or give you the feeling of a nice skinned OS if you have a non skinned Ubuntu running and windowsblinds in a windowed virtualbox setup. Would be like looking at holiday pictures all year without having a trip yourself.

LoL:

I can skin ubuntu too. That is a skin from a friend i ported to newer gtk version:

And well i can even make window blinds skins on linux and use my own window blinds skins ( and theoretically every skin)   on linux. Also i can use win 8 skin full screen mode insuide virtualbox!

However skinning on wiindow blinds is ten time s faster.... And i do use win 7 often too... So im not that linux fanatic you see.

so control + F works for fullscreen in ubuntu also =)
Though you have to run VB in windowed mode, that is the reason why i said it would take away from the experience this changes if you are able to run VB in fullscreen.

Looks good btw
