How can I speed up

The little plus button right above your main HUD picture display? There's also a hotkey you can assign in the options.

I have the basic game and can't locate it. Could u help me with a screen shot?

 I need someone to help me find this button GoaFan77 is talking about. I have the first game and no xtra's, if it's not in there I need to know that as well.

Looks like the buttons to speed up/slow down were added in the Entrenchment expansion. However, even if you have original Sins you can still use the + and - keys to alter the speed.

Are you trying to do it in a multiplayer match?

I am not trying to play multiplayer. The game in single player is too slow. I just want to speed up the single player game, but the + and - buttons do not work . So how do i fix this?

 

can you show a picture of this plus key just above the hud? I am not seeing it.
