Start8 Menu Blank

Hi there

I purchased Start8 and love the features. The start screen however sometimes works and sometimes not. It is completely blank showing no items. I am on the latest version 1.47. See attached screenshot.

Was this problem ever resolved?  I'd like to purchase Start8 -- using trial version 1.5 on Windows 8.1, but I'm seeing this exact problem.

Pressing Win key shows the Start8 with menu items, pressing Win key again and menu gone (all things good at this point).  Press Win key again now brings up a blank start menu.  Use the machine and after a while pressing Win key now brings up the proper start menu with list of menu items.  (but close it and reopen and its blank again)  This is reproducible 100% of the time and very frustrating.

dtb71 - The problem has not been resolved. Still faced with the same issue. Just uninstalled it now. Sometimes it works great. But you will get a black screen every now and again which is very frustrating.

It seems you stopped responding to the ticket in January. You say it sometimes works, what do you mean exactly? Does that mean sometimes there are items in your start menu, other times it's blank? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by you get a black screen.

Try running a SFC scan on your system to see if it can fix this:

-Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'.  Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-If UAC is enabled, click 'Continue'

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

Correct.

The_Gear - It seems you stopped responding to the ticket in January.

I followed support instructions numerous times but the problem wasn't resolved. I have uninstalled the product and won't be making use of it again.
