Ship Design Contest Voting Open - Round 1!

Thanks to everyone who entered our ship designer contest. We were blown away be the creativity and skill that you all poured into your creations. Paul (lead designer) begged me to let him pick 16 instead of 8 finalists because he was so impressed by the submissions, but I wanted to make sure to minimize any fun that anyone was having (and/or couldn't re-jigger all the web design or alter the contest rules legally at the last minute) and so 8 is the final number.

Anyway, get over to the contest page and vote! This first matchup is between JohnRawghi and Tezmagorian, each of whom submitted some kick-ass Terran battleships for your consideration. Winner moves up to the semifinals and the chance to get that $1,000 prize, but all eight finalists will have their ships included in the final game.

Also alot of Terran designs, they already had more designs than other races...still, I like the one on the right, it looks harder to make.

Well, then please show us the other 8 ships that didn't make it into to the finals... just for fun, and future inspiration of course :D I think we all would like to see the 2nd tier ones, that almost made it. :D So we can say an "Ooohhhh, almost!"

Btw they are all really tough ones and very sophisticated piece of works. Congrats!

Any chance of us being able to vote some of those honorable mentions into being included in the game too?  I know there were some really cool designs in the ship thread that didn't make it into the contest list.

Oooohhhh!! Everyone loves the ship designer, I almost wish there was a way to share designs NOW!!! Or if ALL future designs in the game had to be voted upon. Democracy increases morale like NOTHING else.

And I'll fight anyone on July fourth on the moon right next to Neil Armstrong's foot prints and the flag, that says otherwise! (I am such a comedian. :grin: )

All of these ships have been so good, it is hard to choose... but choose we must.
