Can A Game Save File Parameter Be Edited?

I was fortunate enough to snag a 700X Research tile on my home planet at the beginning of my current game, only to discover, well into the game, that I had screwed up and didn't have Super Abilities enabled.


Is it possible for me to open my latest Save file and edit something to turn on Super Abilities...or am I toast?


If it's possible, what do I need to change...and what does it need to be changed to?

...And how do I find the thing to change?  ...As Save files are huge (to scroll through).


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It might be possible using a hex editor, but honestly, if it was me, I'd play the game as-is and see how different it is without super abilities.  I mean, haven't you ever wished you could warp into Yor space without being slowed to 3 pc/week by their Super Isolationist ability? :)

Well...in this case, I'm playing Suicidal, as a custom race, using the Thalan tech tree...and was kinda counting on the Super Ability to have all factories produced in 1 turn.  Since I don't know hex...and if there's no other way...I guess I'm toast.  ...But thanks!   :grin:
