How Do I Play?

I just bought and installed GalCiv2. I understand that it is still in beta. However, how am I supposed to know how to play the game? There doesn't appear to be a tutorial. Is there an online manual?

There's not a tutorial or anything in the game until around release.  I would first suggest taking a look at a Lets Play done by the Lead Designer.  It gives a general overview of the game, which might help.  It's done in beta 1, but the basics still apply.
