How to do a screenshot?

Hi there,

 

started to play arround with the designer to give some ships for the contest I can't find out how to save screenshots.  B)

 

I know how to choose format and know where they should be stored...but which BUTTON to hit? Tryed the usual PRT-SCR, but this will do a print in the screenboard not saving any jpg.

 

Didn't find it in the INPUT nor here in forum... 

Input shows a button 'SpewShownWindows', but if I hit that button the game tells me screenshot #xy is saved...but there is nothing in my '\Documents\my games\GalCiv3\ScreenShots'. Do I miss something, or do I look at the wrong place?

F12 does it with the Steam Overlay on (which has to be manually overriden so you most likely have it on).

@Ryat: Thx alot, found those screenshots at my Steam account with the possibility to export and use them.

Slightly different problem. When I hit F12 it says that it is taking a screenshot but that folder is empty.

\Documents\my games\GalCiv3\ScreenShots


Is there a config file where the path is listed?

You have to upload them after you finish playing the game if you don't they wont be there.

Steam screenshots are on a different local folder.  To easily find them, open up Steam, go to your games library, right click on GC III, then click on "View Screenshots".  A pop window will appear and one of the options will be "SHOW ON DISK".  Click that button and your screenshots that are stored on your local drive will appear.  To save time, you can also pin this folder to your taskbar or create a shortcut to it on your desktop. :)
