Additional menu icons not showing proper state.

I'm trying out the additional menu icons for the first time. I need them to closely emulate the default windows 8 menus as closely as possible and have run into an issue. The "states" aren't showing correctly (or as directed in the help section of sks). Only the radio box shows. Not the check boxes.

 

The issue is illustrated here in this screeny:

Well this isn't going to help you. I have been messing with this for some time. Anywhere from 2 image to 6 image image. I have tried every combination available. All I can get is the usual normal and mouseover change. Also tried all that with and without the regular (Icons checkbox, radio image. Sorry Tim was really hoping I could find a combination.

A little confused by the "image used" that you show, as the image for that area should have 18 images, not 6.  o_O

Guess I'm confused as I was only trying to help. I thought the place he was trying to make the image was in the Edit Menus and menubars. The place where it says additional menu icons calls for default 6 images.

You're in the right area Dave, but the wrong image. Those images in the menus he is showing are controlled by the PopUp Menus, Icons (checkbox, radio) image.

How then did the image I was messing with work? I can see the image you are talking about that has 18. Also below it there is a place called Additional menu icons. This also controls those checks he was trying to do something else with.

Yes Tim that is the one I was working with. When you have an image in there it controls the menu you are trying change. you can remove the regular (checkbox, radio) image and it does the same thing as far as normal and MO. I actually like the windows default look and would use it on every skin I make. 

Wish Neil would see this and let us know if it's even possible using SKS.

Just figured out the problem I think here. The image is mislabeled in the Help section. I changed the image order to be Radio Normal, Mouseover, Disabled and Checkbox Normal, Mouseover and Disabled and things work correctly. Evidently, like TONS of other issues in SKS8, this needs fixed.

This is what happened last time I submitted a ticket to support (quoted from another post)

I submitted a ticket regarding this issue (linking to this post also to save time as I have outlined the issue here with pictures) and followed the instructions provided by support (download a thingy to gather info about my computer) then heard nothing for 5 days.

I went back to work (I work out at sea and am without internet for longish periods of time) and meanwhile my ticket was closed after not replying within 72 hrs.

Too bad that I'm expected to wait for 5 days before receiving a reply, but support closes the case after 3 days of not hearing anything.



Doubtful that I'll be resubmitting a ticket on this issue given that I cannot guarantee that I can reply before my ticket is closed again.

I don't know what happened to Neil, it's like he dropped off the face of the Earth Tim. Sorry to hear about your support ticket issue in the past, but I don't know what else you can do at this point.  :S
