The young think us old foggies don't understand them. However we do. I could post a LOT of depressing or punk songs from our era. Instead, I would rather post a song of hope. Not Obama hope, I see you guys, but real belief and hope.

This song is about hope and dreams when America started falling apart in the early 80's (actually the late 70's) . You can give up, or try harder. This song helped me try harder and I was lucky and it worked for the girl, job, kids, etc.  I hope it helps you.

I think things are going well - out of all the things that could have gone wrong, only relatively minor things have, and the world economy hasn't crashed yet.  We could have had several new wars at a minimum.  The media always loves fear-mongering, and they've had to scratch and exaggerate wildly recently to even get any mildly serious bad stuff.  Then, it helps that the only mainstream media I get is on the radio. ;-)
