Anyone seen the new Alienware Area 51 - 2014 case yet ?

Well i thought this would be a good post since we also had some interesting posts about the can looking like macintosh pro.
So i thought i make a post about the new design of the new alienware PC.
I think the whole shape and form of it looks pretty amazing despite whats build into it.
This thing is seriously looking like alientech :)   The shape reminds me of Dario Arnaez logo a bit.

Quoting starkers,

Though I'm happy with my beast, I originally wanted the same case a Jafo, but in black. Trouble is, you just can't buy them anywhere, and his was a limited edition that sold out very quickly... like before I could get a look in.

The black one was the original, released in 2009...and thus unavailable.  Mine was a new Limited Edition [500] released in 2014... in any colour as long as it was Ti ...;)

Strangely enough, I was told that a seller at a local weekend market had a second-hand original for sale for $150 couple of weeks back... not that I stood a chance of getting it.  Before my mate could ring to tell me about it, some bloke snapped it up.

Drats, drats and double drats. :'(

Nah, I didn't even get there.  Old mate didn't bother calling me once it had been sold.  Apparently it was still in good nick and had some hardware installed... HDDs and ROM drive, etc.  Had he been a few minutes earlier I could have gotten him to grab it for me.  Oh well, maybe another time.

Hmmm, now that's interesting.  Given they were all supposedly sold out and no more were manufactured, I wonder if the ads were just to attract potential customers; or perhaps private sales?...  or that some retailer kept some aside to sell later at a huge profit.   2.5 grand!  Not fechen likely!

Well, it's only serious purpose is as a collectors item. :)

Any mediocre performance case for a hundred bucks will match or beat it's cooling capabilities, and you can spank it big time with something like a Nanoxia DS6, which has sound dampening and support for truly epic cooling setups inside a case with enough room to make performance motherboards weep at their inability to fill the 19 drive bays.

I have a plain looking NZXT. It's under the desk out of the way. It... just... works... ;)

They would have been all sold to retailers, with no more manufactured, however it's all about whether any retailer/s retained stock for 'later'.

The 2.5k one was from the US via ebay ...and likely the greater cost was 'postage' cos 50lbs of case in a box the size of a small car ain't gonna be cheap...;)

psychoak ...when a case is manufactured from 3mm thick metal it is its own passive cooling and sound proofing....and the modular isolation of the components means there's no transference of heat from one component to another.

Meanwhile ....Thermaltake has another 'interesting' creature on the go...

Interesting indeed!   However, I doubt that I'll be in the market for another high end case for quite some time.  I have my CoolerMaster Cosmos II, the Thermaltake Level 10 GT and the Thermaltake Chaser full tower, all of which house my best hardware configurations.

I also have 4 mid-tower cases that I can use should I ever need them.... and the one I prepared for Win 10... which just ain't happening now.  Nope, that'll now get XP and be used as a games/media centre on one of my TVs.

Is there an echo in here?   ;P

I have a Level 10 GT, I use the words spondula and fech regularly, and my status was technically homeless until earlier this week.

Now I'm either typing too hard and there's an echo, or I said it and forgot I'd uttered it. :S
