CTD: Why me? :(

It's sods law isn't it?  You find a game that you are really enjoying and the ********** thing crashes.

I am not accustomed to crashes, my machine playing a variety of games on max settings without problems.  It was a clean crash to desktop with no error messages.

Has anyone else experienced a CTD while playing SK, and if so have you found the cause?

I know it's beta, but....... :)

Thanks anyway.

There was a thing once were the AA was causing CTD in LH, I have mine up to x8 in SK.  Do you have your AA set high or switched off?

I have mine set to 8X and I'm nearing hour 5 without a single crash or mishap.

Sorry, Tatty.

Darn!  Thanks Wolfie.  Maybe Chrome running in the background or my virus checker, sometimes these can cause problems.  I will try fiddling with those next I think.

If no one else is getting it then it has to be my end.

How about steam overlay have you guys got this turned on?

I noticed my virus checker didn't like the files and had to check them... I noticed this, so I let the virus checker do its thing and tell me what I already knew... these files are going to take a lot of your life away and you should use them with caution. May cause relationship problems and have been known to slow the progress of your work.

The good news is that all your crashes go into the database automamgically. So crash it! KEEP CRASHING IT! Crashing is good.

That's convenient! I was about to report a crash of my own.
