Deskscapes does not work on Windows 10 at this time.  Please uninstall it.

Well after messing about in Nvidia control panel and under adjust image settings with preview/Letting the 3d application decide i have it working again ......so i wont be uninstalling it.....but thanks for the Technical Advice.

As I stated in my previous (multimonitor bug report) post above, Deskscapes works fine for me.

Here's my working setup:

Windows 10 Pro x64 (in place upgrade from Windows 7 Pro x64)

DeskScapes v8.21 (all default settings, except "enable support for additional graphics cards" is OFF, as I only have one card in this rig)

Shark007 Advanced Codec Pack for x64 (no idea if this is needed for the Video 'scapes or if this is just legacy)

PhotoDream on Primary Monitor

GoodNight Earth and Utopia video dreams on Monitors 2 & 3.  All monitors 2560x1600 on Nvidia 970 card.  Extended desktop configuration. Latest Windows 10 drivers.

Is there any information here that helps anyone get this working on their end?

Ok i think we now have established it doesn't work for some and works for others using Windows 10, and it is also glitchy and temperamental.

So is anyone at Stardock working on a fix for this?

I personally couldn't go back to a static wallpaper after using a dreamscene for years.

We're reviewing the app for use on Windows 10.

Officially, and as Neil has pointed out, it's not supported on Windows 10.

Thought I would put my 2 cents in since I came here looking for answers to help get my Deskscapes v8.21 working on Windows 10. After Several frustrating attempts of it not working right or really at all from upgrading to 10 from 7 Home Premium. I did a full uninstall of Deskscapes. To my further frustration Windows 10 then told me I could not reinstall because it did not meet compatibility requirements to install. Trying to force it through admin rights didn't work either. Finally I opened the properties of the installer for Deskscapes and selected run in compatiblity mode for windows 7 and HURRAY!!! Intalled with out any problems. And working fine on 2 monitors.

Running a gtx 670 lastest drivers and windows 10 fully updated. As mentioned above about the nvdia control panel setting, I checked mine and was already running with that setting. Hope this helps anyone still having problems.

ae001wort, although you may seem to have no issues, the current released version/s of DeskScapes are incompatible/not supported on Windows 10.

The official advice is NOT to run/install it in Windows 10.

ae001wort i would also like to point out it will work but its unstable and eventually something causes it to crash and you have to refresh it or sometimes your gfx card drivers depending how bad the freeze was.

running a full screen game then returning clicking on task view etc it eventually crashes.you can tweak things to make it less frequent but it still ends up crashing just by using your pc.

theres been 50 million tries on multiple things but the end results always the same,so use at your own risk.

i use it but i acknowledge the freezes and i periodically fix it a few times a day,i will never claim its stable though.not till a new release comes out for windows 10 maybe

 so will it ever work with win10? cant even run the installer, says i dont meet the minimum(!?) requirements..

Problem I have is 50% of the time after booting windows 10 pro x64 I cannot drag any desktop icon, all I get is the "no entry" sign

This can be remedied sometimes by logging out and in again but I have found that if I disable DS the problem vanishes.

Can I live without DS ? mmmmmmmm.

If you disable windows movie maker in windows 10 deskcapes works fine !!

windows movie maker? what are you babbling about.as far as i can tell windows 10 doesnt come with a movie maker unless your refering to movies and tv.

regardless i just checked on the object desktop section and deskscapes and windowblinds both say windows 10 support soon whitch it didnt before whitch makes me beleive they are close to a release.be patient and god speed.ill be glad to finally renew my subscription once more and support you guys <3
