Stardock–End of September Game Status

image

Greeeeeetings!

So in 2015 Stardock will be releasing 3 new games. As I write this, only 1 (Galactic Civilizations III) has been announced.  In 2016, we’ll be releasing another 3 new games (not expansions but new games) of which only 1 (Soren Johnson’s Offworld Trading Company) is announced (but no images/video have been released).  And of course, this doesn’t count the Star Control reboot which is in development but doesn’t have a release date yet.

Join the battle!

  1. We are hiring. We need you.  We have studios in Michigan, Maryland and Texas. https://www.stardock.com/about/careers.asp
  2. We will be announcing a new game this week (October 2).  I am supposed to do a stream this Thursday at 3pm EST.  You are not going to believe it when you hear about the team that’s working on this.
  3. Join our community if you haven’t already.  All our games and software are integrated together. Creating an account here creates an account on all Stardock sites.  You’re the boss. Tell us what you like and don’t like.

Stay tuned. And yes, that screenshot is from an unannounced game.

Nice, hope it all works out and is fun :)

What immediately came to my mind when first seeing that screenshot was the Caldari Hornet.

But then comparing the two, they really look nothing alike.

Is E2015 using the new GCIII game engine (i.e. 64-bit)?

I enjoyed elemental, but it was a pain to play due to the crashes and the length of time turns would take late game.

The new GCIII game engine is very well engineered, stable and fast.

This all intrigues me...

I would say that being a part of your team would be great, however, I don't think you have a need for someone with 15+ years customer service.  (maybe a little but not the focus).  Basically the only way I would be a strong fit is if you were looking for someone who could fill a customer service role for the time being and grow internally with the company picking up programming in house training as time allowed.

Now enough of the pipe dream...

Off-world trading looks like a great game and to this point I'm looking forward to purchasing it going forward.  Galactic Civilizations III is great to this point and can't wait for the next beta version.  I'm wondering if the RTS may be Sins 2 even though the first wasn't only Stardock??  who knows... :)

Thanks for the update :)

According to this article the game to be revealed today is in the fantasy strategy genre, most likely this is E2015.

Also they posted this picture from an unannounced game.

"This ship from a yet-to-be-announced title uses the Nitrous engine, which allows hundreds of these vessels to be onscreen at once, with each turret targeting individually."

Edit: Sorcerer King announced. Steam link.

Star Swarm is a tech demo, not a game.

Yes a tech demo for the Nitrous engine that they are using to make a game.
