OK, Let's Share Workstation Shots

Again....mine changed.

I updated my setup with a 30 inch IPS monitor and felt the need to redo the whole shebang.

Thought it a good time to share setup shots. Anyone?

EDIT: I think my cameras suck.

P.S. You keep losing weight, you're gonna need a new suit. ;)

X| Nice, Snowy! All 3 matching monitors. I like that, matching colors as well.

I hate when you can't get colors matched up on multiple monitors that are different brands/types.

Yup, they should all have standard/uniform looks to comply with folks like you/me/us.

I got a Viewsonic 19" a Viewsonic 22", a LG 27" and a Phillips 29".  They're all black and go fairly well together when all on the same desk, but they don't match up in terms of size and brand logo.

The size difference isn't that important, but I might rip off the logo badges to increase similarity.

and before anyone else says it: Badges!!!  Who needs any steeenkin' badges? :w00t:

Mark, lol, I meant the picture colors. Not the bezel/stand.   :P

I had just that before, but I got the oppotunity to buy three brand new 27" Lenovo dirt cheap, so why the hell not. ;)

Orright, then, point it out to all and sundry that I feched up/didn't get the picture.  :P

See if I care. :-"

EDIT:

Thing is, some monitors have different colour bezels, stands and different builds, heights... so yeah, when you buy different brands to take advantage of low/bargain prices, sometimes yer desktop looks odd cos nothing matches up quite the same.  There was a time when I had a white monitor, a greyish looking monitor and a black monitor [bezels and stands, that is] on my desktop, so I guess that's where my mind was at at the time of posting.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it, as Graham Kennedy used to say. ;P

I knew that's what you meant. That wouldn't really matter to me as much as the screen/picture itself. Brightness, contrast, and color is more important, IMO.

I know Wiz would go absolutely nuts if he had to use a black bezel monitor alongside a white/silver bezel monitor.

Well, that explains a lot. ;P That is exactly what I have on my main rig. A 22.5" Acer/Black bezel and a 19" Dell in silver. (and yes, I have considered refinishing the Dell. Maybe a winter project.)

Hey syd, we go the same desk... so has Shaunna.  Well I'd normally have the same desk setup but mine's cureently in storage... cos getting a place isn't that easy when some of the pieces are missing/not in place.

Hopefully it all comes together in the next few weeks, cos I hate making do with odds n' ends that don't fit so well together in too small an area.

Oh well, it could be worse... could be still living with my former mother.

Yup, it's a great desk, love the design.  When I first saw it at Officeworks I just had to have one... can't wait to get it all set up again, though I need a new office chair due to my current one losing height after a short while sitting in it.  Mind you, I've had it a few years and it has served me well, so I can't complain, and I did see one at Officeworks recently that I quite Like.

She's not coming back, not that it bothers me any.  Apparently, all the hate, spite and nastiness was over something I supposedly did to upset her nearly 40 years ago, and getting me to move in with her was a part of a clalculated plan to 'so-say' pay me back and ruin my life, like I supposedly ruined hers and others.

All's I can say is good riddance, she can stay in the UK.

Yeah, I have one of those now... a 23" HP with onboard stereo sound by Beats.  It's not too shabby at all and compliments Win 8.1 nicely.. and it was at a not too shabby price into the bargain.  Was AUD$279.00 on special at Officeworks, and touchscreens this size are often quite a bit more than that.

I wasn't overly keen on the idea of a desktop touchscreen before, but after getting my HP laptop/tablet combo with touchscreen it seemed like a natural progression, and being a Win 8.1 Pro tablet  it just fits perfectly into my Win 8.1 setup for phone and desktop.  After using it for a couple of months now I could never, ever see myself using another Android device ever again, it's bloody fantastic.

Mark, this one is a Samsung 24 inch. And the best thing about it is that it slants well, for ergonomics.

The HP one I have has an adjustable lickstand like the MS Surface tablets, as does my HP tablet-come-laptop.  Both are highly adjustable and just great to use

Glad I didn't pay that [HP] price for mine, tho.

I just sold an HP 23 inch Touchsmart All In One Desktop to someone here at WC. It was a good one.

Just sold this as well, to someone else. Acer Switch 10 2in1 laptop/tablet.
