Steam will not update to 1.7b

I bought and installed FH:LH on 9-10-14, after the 1.7b update. I have no DLC. According to Steam, I have build ID 348389 (1.7), not 378744 (1.7b). I have verified the game cache several times and the game will not update. How can I get the game updated? I followed the instructions from Stardock and it did not work (see below). I am posting this because apparently many others have the same problem:

Please note even with patch 1.7b installed, FE: Legendary Heroes will still display 1.70 as the version number at the main menu.

One way to verify that you have the latest version:

- Locate FE: LH in your Steam library.

- Right click and go to "Properties"

- Select the "Local Files" tab.

Please note the "Current content BuildID" at the bottom. If it says 378744, then you are currently running the latest version (1.7b) of FE: LH.

However, if it still says 348389 then your Steam client has not triggered the auto-update feature.

Selecting "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" should trigger a scan of your FE: LH files and if you are missing anything, it will subsequently download the missing file.

After Steam finishes any downloads or repairs, you can reload the Properties page and take note of the Current BuildID.

I bought three of the DLC and that caused an update.

Thanks, mine hadn't updated either... had to verify the cache.

Here is the method I got to work on all 3 of my computers.

1. Verify Cache.

2. If that works, stop.

3. If not, launch game.

4. Quit game.

5. Verify cache again. (At this point all 3 of my computers kicked an error saying one bad file, and did the update.)

 

Hope this helps someone else.

Very intersting, Im not sure why steam wouldnt be updating. But thanks for letting us know and the steps you guys have followd to fix it, I will watch it here and see if any issues crop up.
