Culture Flip Bug

I was assaulting a system that had 4 Drengin controlled planets. I conquered one and left 2 Paladins in orbit. Before my succeeding transports could arrive, the just conquered planet flipped back to Drengin control. I guess this was due to higher influence. However, the 2 ships I had left behind in orbit, were still there, but I could not move them. Subsequently, when another transport arrived I was unable to attack the planet, I couldn't even put the transport in orbit. The game behaved as if I still controlled the planet.

Has anyone else encountered this?

The Drengin took control of your ships as well as your planet. You cannot invade a planet that has planets in orbit. You need to bring combat ships to take out those Paladins, then you will be able to invade.

You softy, the only poetry suitable for this purpose is poetry written by Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings of Sussex.

I had the same bug.  My ships in orbit remained mine.  I was able to eject them from the planet (even though it was an enemy planet now) and use them normally.

I couldn't get mine to eject.
