I'm curious. When Australians see this, do they laugh their asses off, or face palm so hard that it knocks them out?
for making me spit my sip of coffee all over my monitor 
unfortunatly it is exceptionally coherent for an australian POLITICIAN, but the interviewer seems to be a bit more typical of NON-politician Australians

Sadly, when it comes to members of the Abbott government, particularly its ministers and senators, they're blithering idiots who struggle to compile a coherent thought, much less a coherent sentence.
Given its piss poor performance thus far, I reckon most Aussie voters would prefer Julia Gillard's government to Abbott's. Most hated her before the election, but I think they now believe the alternative is by far more reprehensible.

let's just state.... none of 'em are perfect... the shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development thinks Africa is a country... link.. they all get to embarrass themselves at some stage... I still chuckle at Julia's pronunciation of hyperbole..... hyperbowl.... 
unless you wanna 'skin' one (which I'm sure you do...lol)..... or 'customise' one... which we'd all like to do...

It's pretty overwhelming that people can be this stupid.

Yup, I certainly think the alternative is by far more reprehensible... don't mean I like Juliar any more than I did. People say that politicians are all tarred with the same brush, and I agree, it's just that Abbott's lot got third, fourth and fifth coats of the stuff, making them somewhat slimier than the others.
Yup, and full of sas, piss n' vinegar. 
As for skinning one? Hmmm, depends if they're still alive and how blunt the knife is. Wouldn't want anthing sharper than a butter knife, just in case I cut myself.
And customising? Yup, if a lobotomy counts as customisation. 
Bring back Julia! Put Tony Hobbit Abbott back under the rock where he was found.

Maybe stop making this a this team vs that team, and rally against the issue no matter who is in charge.
just to keep this thread on track,
the definition of 'politician' that I use comes from poly (many) and tick (blood sucking insect),
unfortunately the tick is the most accurate part as they KEEP sucking the 'blood' of the country/region/area that they are 'supposed' to be 'guiding/working for',
but there are SO MANY of the those insects(inteligence wise) that the entire definition appears to be totally correct

Juilia was a train wreck. She has no leadership skills and she outright lied to us. Not just about the carbon tax, she also said she wouldn't challenge the leadership and then stabbed Rudd in the back. You know, the guy people actually voted for.
I thought it was funny when Labor pulled a bait and switch with those two. It was like they were trying to pull a 'new coke/classic coke'
At the end of the day, both parties pretty much suck in different areas. The best we can do is try to vote for the one we think will suck the least for each term.
That, and the fact she had shady dealings with a union offica when acting as a lawyer....then as a politician lied about it.
OK....getting all 'political' now.....and you know what happens next......
Okay, so how's the weather down your way? Up here it's still a little cool of an evening, but days are great for BBQs and outdoor activities.
Must admit, though, the "Tony Hobbit Abbott" bit from Fuzzy was funny.
With those ears of his and peculiar facial expression, he is somewhat hobbit-like, dontcha think.
