SkinStudio 8 crash

Hi, I have the following problem with Studio Skin 8, when I try to use it crash. I tried on three different computers one with Win8.1 and two with Win 7 and all is the same. WB8 install smoothly, get the key and all good. After install wwb8 I installed ss8 apparently no problem. I double click to start it the first screen that asks me if I'm experienced user and this stuff and then exits. When I click to start it again ss8 crash and no way to make it work. Curiously, it never asked me the key.

Any idea what may be happening or how to fix this problem?

Hi,

SKS8 is causing problems on my PC too. It crashes at startup. Registration does work with registration file, not with online activation ( my win7 internet is highly unstable, but relatively fast on linux). Before registrating i had the annoying half screen  banner , but  SKS8 itself seemed to  working fine but unusable since banner is so big..

http://storage.stardock.com/files/SkinStudio7_free.exe does work fine on my PC, except reload skin option and skintester is a bit buggy ( loads sme icons only after relogin).Its a bit old and outdated and does have limited functionality etc, but i did design my themes with it, and it works fine for 6/10  skins.I bet its good for the beginning of theming.

And please start a support ticket at stardock after that . Think and hope  they could help you.

It is probably best to open a support ticket with us if you have not already. 

Please download and run the following utility:

http://sd.stardock.com/SDSupportTool.exe

This is a tool that we use to gather relevant log files and basic information about your computer. Once the utility finishes running, please attach the .zip file it creates on the desktop when you create a ticket here.
