Blank, White Screen after opening cinematic

after the opening cinematic I get a blank, white screen with a blue cursor.  Not sure what is wrong here, can anybody help me out? TIA

My first guess is to update video drivers.

GoresterSOF's first guess may be a good one, but there is no way for any of us to know without your DxDiag information.
