What should I do to make sure errors I am finding get looked at, I have reported some model errors that aren't getting any response or getting viewed.

Maybe this has already been brought up in the past, but it it just occurred to me. Will there be any setting for second screen support? Rather than have an extra wide view, can you use one monitor for navigation and view what all is happening in the map, then have be able to use the second monitor as a command screen that you can always have open. A statistic like page with notifications, functions, etc... Just a thought... Hope I explained that alright and it makes sense...

Are the current technology descriptions the final version? They are well written and quite funny, in my opinion. However, they also feel a little generic compared to the ones in TotA.

I mean, compare the new description of Artificial Slavelings

"Artificial slavelings take most of the fun out of manufacturing - they just don't beg for their lives and freedom as much. But boy can we sure churn them out in a hurry."

to the old one from TotA.

"We have made great strides in our manufacturing capability by taking people and turning them into biological machines for labor through the use of genetic modification.

However, we have realized that there is an ultimate step we can take. We can grow pre-perfected organisms for use as slaves. We can grow in vast tanks biological machines that are specially designed to do the kind of slave labor that is needed.

We still need a steady influx of slavelings from conquered planets to act as the "CPU" for these creatures. Through a relatively simple surgery, the brain and spinal coord are removed from the previously inferior physical being and grafted into our artificial slaveling. This combination results in the perfect biological unit for our purposes.

Our only limit now is finding enough of these CPUs -- conquest awaits."

The new one is to the point and very funny. However, the cruelness it shows is more petty than anything. The old description, on the other hand, has a much stronger flavour. The cruelness shown here is of a more cold and uncaring nature.

I really want planet class and any bonusses the planet gets to show up during colonization events, any chance of that happening? Or a view planet (even on stragetic map) before colonizing button would be even better.

Sometimes i forget about colony ships or several arrive at once and have no clue what i am colonizing :D

From the forum:

During a Dev Stream a while ago, you guys mentioned that the ship part textures were going to be able to scale.

So if you stretch a wing to twice its size, the little textures on it would scale back to keep the detail.

Now when i installed the Beta, this isn't the case yet. Is this still going to be implemented?

Maybe this is a little too dark or complicated... But with the create your own race feature, could you plant a race onto your own planet? For instance, if you played as the Terran, could you get to a level of research where your scientists can create a race, in which you can plant onto a un-colonized planet? That way that race could live on a planet you are unable to terraform or grow their empire on a planet you don't want to have to take care of yourself, but they would still use your technology... Or just so you could play "God" and raise a race to become your ally. Which could always backfire.... I don't know... Just a thought...

I brought this up before, could a worm hole take you to a whole new map? An empty map. Like another galaxy or universe? Extra special smaller races are hidden here or a cheap way of growing your colony with only one access point in, so easier to defend from attacks...

I haven't played the beta yet, i'll download it Saturday when i'm home...

I beleive it is in the tech tree.

Research certain tech help with abilities/endurance etc.

Thanks for addressing my question. However, I think you misunderstood what I was asking about, Adam. I'm not asking for a return to the old length of the tech descriptions (though I would like that). It's their "content" I'm asking for, because the current descriptions don't tell you much about the races.

For example, in TotA it was made clear, that the Drengin don't use Entertainment Networks and the like, because they neither understand the concept of make-believe (there are no actors or works of fiction in their culture), nor are they entertained by it. Instead, the Drengin use Arenas, where slaves are forced to fight each other, because they can sense the pain and suffering in others, and gain enjoyment from it.

In GalCiv 3, the Drengin use Fighting Pits, because they find them relaxing.

For me, that just isn't enough. It reduces the Drengin to one-dimensional villains, who do evil things, simply because they are evil. Not because they have a bigger motivation behind it, which is based on their culture, biology, or the like.

The lore of GalCiv is one of the main reasons why I like the game so much (heck, it was one of the biggest driving-forces behind my GalCiv 2 mod). I simply want it to shine through in all parts of GalCiv 3.

:) Brad visited, even though just for a second, nice to see you :)

Minor races coming soon, can't wait.

Multi-monitor support would be great :)

Suggestion:  Have founders submit requests for events??
