Menu Text Flickers Out Rendering Game Unplayable.

I just installed the Beta; but I can't play it.

It starts up, the video plays and it gets to the main menu and it displays fine; but when I try to get into the submenus (option, new game, etc.) all the text just flickers in and out,.....mainly out which makes the menus impossible to use.

I'm running Windows 7 pro 64 bit on a Toshiba Satellite S70-A Laptop with 12 gigs of Ram a Intel I7-4700 2.4ghz quad core and an Nvidia Geforce GT740M graphics card so I should have the horsepower I need to play it.

My laptop is widescreen though with a 1600 X 900 resolution which may be giving the game fits.

I realize its a beta and I'm not really upset; but I think this is a bug you need to prioritize because it makes the game unplayable for me.

It would be good to know what driver level you are using for your graphics card, as NVidia is currently having troubles with their latest driver (340,52). 1600X900 should not be a problem. I am running the game windowed at that resolution without any noticeable graphics problems with a GeForce GT 640 with the driver at level 337.88, however, I had troubles during the Alpha when I upgraded to the latest driver.

The Nvidia utility says my Driver version is 311.41.

It checks for updates daily and I manually told it to check for an update after this problem and it claims its the latest driver although when I got to Nvidia's site it lists the latest driver as... 340.52.

I'm going to manually download and update the driver rather than trusting the card to do it on its own and see if that has any effect.

When you do, check to see what GC3 looks like. If you get one of the problems previously reported on this forum that are related to 340.52, you may want to try level 337.88 instead.

Also, please add a reply here about your success/problems with the 340,52 driver, Thanks.
