Elite Founder vs Beta Early access questions

Hi All

I am really looking forward to GalCiv3. Then I got this email yesterday reminding me that Elite Founder is still available for a few days. So I have a couple of questions.

If I buy Elite Founder today, does that mean that I will get continuous Alpha access up until the point that Beta is released (and then switch over)?

Elite Founder is a lot more expensive than Beta Access (£75.99 advertised on Steam vs $44.95 mentioned above). Does this mean that Beta access wont have all the expansions etc that come with Elite Founder?

Also, buying via Steam costs £75.99 but via StarDock it costs $99.99, which works out at around £60. Is there any reason to buy it on Steam?

Thank you

If that's true don't buy it on steam save your money for the apocalypse! Lol

Really, you get everything with the elite founders edition including all dlc and expansions and beta, so its worth it.

Yes.

The beta version will only get you the base game.

Nope, if you buy it from Stardock you will get a code to redeem on Steam.

Alright DARCA, you convinced me (didn't take much). Thanks also Rhonin.

I did buy it through Stardock at $99.99, so at the current exchange rate, that does work out a lot cheaper than through Steam. I wonder if it will appear on my credit card as I expect.

Anyway, time to name a star before time runs out!

I MADE A SALE!

To bad I don't get anything for it apart from a fellow founder to talk to. Then again that's ok too. :)

Is there any info on just how many expansions / dlcs there will be, and at what rate or pricing? Also does the free GCII ultimate on upgrade still apply?

Just wondering if anyone can make a good case for upgrading from regular to elite.

So far just the Snathi is official, but they've said they plan on at least 2 expansions and more DLC.

Free GalCiv II ultimate on Steam for founder's?- I didn't hear that.

So I purchased the founders beta edition when it first came out and am thinking of getting the founders elite edition. what is the best way to do this or is it even possible to do an upgrade?

Disregard: Found the upgrade option on the site.

The offer was from an email a few months ago - I was just wondering if it was a special promotion or a general bonus for upgrading. Email didn't specify.
