[LH 1.7 BETA] The Wildlands are spawning champions

These champions are weaponless, armorless and remain static. You also find multiple copies of the same ones dotting the map (e.g. multiple Vasims).

Besides champions, I've only seen one Burning Wraith and one stack of Darkling Stingers being spawned by the Wildlands. These likewise remain motionless and don't present a threat. Is this working as intended?

I think I know what is doing this.  Good catch.  We'll look into solving it.

Came on here to report exactly this - I had three heroes and a mercenary pop up just now. Exactly as Hellions reports above except that I think one of them may have attempted to chase down one of my pioneers.

Edit: have encountered a lot more and they can definitely move - not only did one waltz up to one of my outposts, but after I Tremor'd and killed it, it ran onto my outpost and destroyed it, despite being both stunned and dead. I know that that part is a separate and older bug, but it did mean that randomly-spawned, unarmed Poena clone did more damage to my kingdom than any of the enemy AIs have managed so far.

Can this be a feature, not a bug? I love the idea of wildlands spawning monsters, but occasionally spawning a CHAMPION is even cooler!

I'll gladly donate some .xml files of new, wildland champions to support the effort.

Last post from me, I swear.

Consider the game lore- the Anathua used to be worshipped as gods, priests made sacrifices to them, etc. Doesn't it make sense that as the CIVILIZATIONS attract champions, the wildlands would too?

And if you were Vetrar, and some measly Urxen mage came to offer his service, wouldn't you send that lackey right at those pesky civilizations growing up to challenge you?

Spawning champions might make more sense late game, and they probably shouldn't be coming from the CoreUnits.xml champions list, but what if there was a separate list of champions the wildlands could select from?

Again, I'll gladly write up some men/fallen and non-anthro champions if it would help.

I just had a game where this happened also.  The champion didn't spawn in a wild land though, he popped up a few squares from one of my cities.

- The spawns start happening when the map is close to being cleared of monsters.

- They will spawn every Season once it starts

Forgot to add that spawns when the map is close to being cleared have always been happening for me. However, and if I remember right, the only creatures that used to spawn were a bunch of "Imp of the Titan" (Which was somewhat fine since it was free XP). Now, we're getting all sort of stuff including armorless/weaponless/static Champions (Not fine).

While I know part of this is a 1.7 feature (Creatures), I don't think the armorless/weaponless/static Champions (and static Creatures?) are...

Wildlands will start to spawn increasingly nasty monsters in the unknown areas of the world the longer they are left around
