yes they give you the code you need for steam,  after buying check for the serial number under your stardock account

They just don't give you a code, they give you a secret code laced with digital Altarian magic and you have to do a Drengin blood oath to get it!

It's basically only available through Steam so yeah, it's guaranteed. Don't know if Steam can handle Altarian magic though ;p
