Nice, but I think I'm gonna miss this one unfortunately. I'll have to catch the replay...

The idea of Drengin starting with weapons leads to an interesting balancing issue. If they start with weapons and others do not, any game with the Drengin leads to an early game slaughter on a tiny map (or close proximity). What kinds of balance plans are going to be implemented?

Pirates have been mentioned that they will be in the game. Will these pirate ships be able to destroy starports / starbases, or will you consider an economic drain if they reach these locations instead of destruction. They are there for the money right ;)

Could we see a preview of a large Drengin ship that is being considered for a future update? (I'd be find seeing the Terran version of the ship)

I know you are going to be adding more anamolies in the game. Could you add a Mimbly anamoly (reference Elemental FE:LH)?

Tell me, can you talk about the rules of space combat and invasion.

Will there be a map editor, and if so, how insane can you get with it? Also, how much variation will there be in the star textures and size?

I hope to be around for the live stream, but if not . . .

I also think this is an important balance issue (I just posted some info on why I think this is an issue, and some suggestions here).

In any case, looking forward to the stream!

Maybe the Drengin could start out with weapons; but planetary conquest early on will take a lot of resources so that it will take them a while to whittle down the defenses on a planet.

A good analogy would be in Civ 5 where it takes a while before you can research siege tech so conquering anything takes a lot of effort.

I had ships in Alpha 3 not this patch that were greyed out that I had enough control over   durantium and Elerium that i should have been able to build.

Am I missing something? Also I`ve have started several maps and have not found any Elerium anywhere HAVE THE Dread Lords Hijack them all? EDIT I found them

Nebulae was set to none some how. o_O

the ship builder seem to be getting easier.

Thanks!!

Nasty!

Not addressed on the stream/question for next week:

Will terraformed tiles be able to have tile bonuses, or just adjacency bonuses?

If so, will they be generated (but not shown) when the planet is generated, or rolled when the tile is terraformed?

I have the same problem. If I want to build 2 ships that need 14 Elerium each. I have to get 28 Elerium nodes. I'm wondering if it is even worth building that many star bases just for 2 ships.

I'm hoping that it is just a bug in the latest build.

One question I had is with the auto upgrades to buildings...  You stated near the end that you could build a mega factory (sorry forget the name right now) and it would start with the lower tech building first and than auto go to the next and so on...  My concern is what if you have 5 mega factory's building?  will it build the base factory first for all 5 or just 1 and then go to the next?

My suggestion would be if you have several advanced buildings in que, that it would build the base buildings of all the buildings first as it builds it it auto moves the next step of the building to the end of the que.  That way a player isn't waiting for the game to auto build all the upgrades for one building before it moves to the next.
