Curious about game graphics style before preorder
Im interested in pre-ordering but wondering what the game will look like and play like before plopping money down

We don't have a great deal to go on at the moment. I would thoroughly recommend having a read over the rules and the gameplay description that has been released though if you haven't already:

That is pretty much everything we know so far about Offworld.
I'm assuming ASCII.
Oh goodness gracious please have this be a thing.
so similar to dwarf fortress before or after the visualizer?
Same as OP, I would really like to know what sort of art style they are going for, it's pretty important to me in order for me to enjoy a game.
I as well am very interested in this game and would like to spend some steam wallet cash to get the founder edition if you can take that otherwise I would like to know a bit more about the game via early pics.
Will it be a 4x strategy or turn base?
Well there is an NDA in place, so even if anyone wanted to, I'm very doubtful they will do so. They've described it as programmer art, so take that how you will.
Only thing i want to know, is what day of the week they send out the prototype emails.
I'm in the same boat, while I like the concept so far, I'd like to see what type of art visual, or if it will be "spreadsheets" in space concept, what elements (Turn/Real Time), Single Player, Muliti-player, LAN, Steam... Sure we get some of this (Multi-player mentioned)...our only resource is money.
Will it be a Simcity, will it have elements of Role-play (Important characters skills etc.), Will there be random events? Corporate espionage?, different types of corporations (Cooperatives, Dictatorship - 1 guy at the top in control of it all, Republic-Voted, Hybrid - A few people in charge of it all). Certain goals to achieve?
Once I have some of these: Mostly the art direction, computer requirements, style (Realtime with unlimited save points, or Turn based)... Then I may pick up a copy.
Most of your questions are answered at http://www.mohawkgames.com/2014/06/16/offworld-rules/
Of course these are always subject to change, but it's there.
Oh well decided to pluck the money down anyway. This better not disappoint or.....well really What could I do if i was disappointed?
