Hello, In my version 1.01.143 Fences icons disappear
from time to time, what might be happening?

to expound on BernieTime's comment, double clicking on an empty portion toggles between hiding everything and showing everything (except stuff specifically set not to respond to that)

Upgrade them to Stone Walls, or cast Wall of Fire that should help.
