I've got it as my desktop right now. How do you get that background?
it would be nice to see a wallpaper of the background of the tech tree
I feel honored! It is a mixture of a nasa mars planet model and the gc3 mainmenu background.

How do you take a pic of your ships without any UI elements on the side of the screen?
I cutted them out and used photoshop. That is a photomontage, not a pure screenshot.

I would put the new loading screen as a Wallpaper. Could you post it here? All my friends will see, ask and maybe buy the game, who knows? 
The new loading screen definitely needs to be a wallpaper (I saw it and pretty much instantly put it as my background anyways).
Yeah I'd like the new loading screen as a desktop background without the loading text though.
Well till stardock release it as a wallpaper that what your`re going to get sorry.
