Where To Place New Maps And Their ScenarioPictures

Hello Everyone,

 

Thanks for reading my post. I'm coming back to map making for sins after a long stretch of inactivity (Last map was made for entrechment).

When creating the maps, I've tried placing the maps in various places but they dont appear in sins itself. Likewise, the scenario pictures dont appear either.

 

Heres the scores so far:

I've created a basic, new map with the latest version of galaxy forge.

Assigned Players and Their Homeworlds, Set Maps As Browsable, Given A Name, Description and Typed Scenariopicture-{map name}.tga

Created Scenario Picture To Specs - 177x92, 32 bit tga format and placed in Sins Texture Folder (Install Location)

I have placed maps into the galaxyforge, map designer (yes, i know its not the best place, but worth a try ;) and galaxy (Sins Install Directory) folder but no sight of them.

The only way to view them, is to put them in the galaxy folder and edit the manifest to include their name but makes them hard to find and still doesn't include the scenario picture.

 

I believe that covers everything... I've made the scenario picture to the spec i used to and maps in all the folders i can think off... Any help would be greatly appreciated as its been sometime since i've done this.

Hmm, not sure about the D drive thing, but try going to the options from the main menu, then go to the mods tab. Hit the "Show Mod Path" button. It will give you the location of a folder. Go to the folder right above that folder (should be called Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion). In that folder there is a folder called GalaxyForge. Place your maps in there.

Such a silly thing, i was using D:\Gaming Dropzone\My Games\Ironclad... (This Used To Be My Documents)

By Cutting out the gameing dropzone, the my games in D:\ was hidden from sight and is the one that sins uses!
