Got one question. Thinking of replacing the rush abiltiy with something else, but not sure what.I know it's possible to make an attack/spell who'+s damage depends on army size.

 

However, is it possible to make an attack ability whose damage depends on the number of units that are of specific blood AND who's cooldown is GLOBAL.

 

For example, I have an army of 6, 5 of which are Vaynar units. I use the ability to smite with my spearmen units, which does 5*number of vaynar units damage. Once I used it however, no other vaynar unit can use it for 5 turns.

UPDATE:  current version is 1.03

 

Fixed some icons, added a new sword and a new rare hero item.

Still struggling with getting all of the units to show up in the research tree.

 

So far the Paladin, Templar, Ice and Fire Archmage and Hawkeye are showing up.

It doesn't alter any core files, so It should, but I haven't tested it.

Gah. I'm loosing my mind over this.

 

I either can't get my units to appear on the tech tree, or I can't get them built. This is maddening!

Can someone take a look at tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

 

The Hawkeye unit is shown and produced normally.

Why isn't the Sentinel?

I went trough the files again and again and I can't find anything wrong.

 

I have the same problems with other units. Ice Archmage, Fire Archmage and Paladin show up. Templar, Crusader and Light Cavalry don't.

Big update. v.07.

 

Everything should work properly now + new stuff added.

 

 

B.t.w. - definately works with Mages and Demons and City Defenders.

 

 

If you find you can spam the Champion Spell like crazy, it's because I forgot to change the test values.

Easy fix - find VaynarSpells.xml and simply uncomment (delete the <!-- and --> ) the cost part of the ChampionsCall spell. There is another commented section at the bottom of the file - ignore it.
Also, set the cooldown to 50. And the mana cost back to 50.

Small issue, mod is working it`s fun and it`s great. I believe i installed everything right, but icons for unique buildings are blank for me (yellow circle without any picture inside) and can`t see buildings in city details/when placing them. But they give mana and faith correctly. Any advice? I put tiles into tiles directory too without effect though

Don't move the tiles...leave them where they are.

 

Copy the entire Vaynar folder directly into your MyDocumets/MyGames/Legendaryheroes/mods folder.

The Tiles folder should remain in the Vaynar folder

 I did not moved anything they are there too MyDocumets/MyGames/Legendaryheroes/mods/Vaynar, just in case copied them to tiles too, still buildings aren`t in game

 1.07 yes, i enjoy this faction anyway, it`s just strange if i am only one with this visual problem. I am using Blood & mana, paladin, champions bonanza, river bridge, snaking with your mod but i doubt they are responsible for missing graphics.

Now i study Blood and mana. They have Improvement_HorseMarket.png in their gfx files, I dont see such file in gfx packed with your Vaynar faction. Maybe they were in older version and i am only one without them? cause i found your mod just recently? Or you don`t use custom png files for unique faith buildings?

hi! i have a problem: there aren't paladin path icon. I can see the path and i can select it but there is no image (i see the written "paladin" but no image, it's all black)

I don't know if u can understand but i hope so!

Did you install the Path of the Paladin mod and then OVERWITE it with my files?

I replaced some icons with new ones.

I have same problem with your buildings in 1.08 :( as i can see your church building points to Improvement_TempleOfEssence.png which is by my guess in core game, so i should have it too. I have steam version of game, can this be difference between us? I want to have graphics for those buildings :-/ just don`t know how to do it

I noticed that your new Kingdom has a Path of the Paladin to play with. How does this compare to davarna's Path of the Paladin?

Can any hero obtain this path, or just the sovereign?

 

I'll be trying this mod out as soon as I'm done beta testing tjashen's Reverent mod.

It *IS* his Path of the Paladin. I just provided a few tweak files for it.

 

Meaning you have to download davarna's mod first and then copy over my tweaks.

They tweaks basically alter the tree a little to make room for a few more abilities, tweak a few existing ones, add new icons. And also alter one quest.

Good Morning

I'm going to give your mod a run-though. When I do these sorts of things, I tend to pile on the comments. If you don't like them, please just ignore them...I don't

mean to offend :)

(I'm running a bunch of other mods along side; hopefully I don't run into compatibility issues).

To open off, I'm REALLY looking forward to this mod. I've been hoping for a 'cancelling' out of the undead for quite some time now.

- In the "Who Are You?" menu, the Church and Grand Cathedral do not have icon images. (just a yellow blank circle). Is this suppose to be the case?

- The Grand Cathedral grants "+1 faith per turn". To be consistent, this should be "+1 Faith per Season".

- For the Vampiric Greatsword, are the "+3 Hit Points" of a permanent nature? If not, perhaps it should have the same text as the Tear of Cyndrum "+3 Hit Points whenever an enemy is killed" just to stay consistent.

- The Sight bonus given to Ellderon is not mentioned in the Sovereign abilities. In addition, having that large a section revealed is pretty overpowered. I recommend scaling back to only +2 Sight.  edit: Oh I see (get it.) ;) "Eyes of the Cheater" is an item given to him at the start of the game. Did you intend for him to have this because the text even says "You shouldn't be having this!"? Also, very overpowered item.

- In the build menu, the "Church" icon does not appear. ( just a white blank box). Is this suppose to be the case?

- In the research screen, the "Church" and "Grand Cathedral" icons do not appear. (just a small white blank box). Is this suppose to be the case?

- I am unable to choose the Paladin path at level 2 with Ellderon.

Well, without being able to access the Paladin path, not much sense in continuing my game (which is sad cause it was turning out to be quite serene). Nevertheless, I do believe I have the mod installed correctly. EDIT: I just loaded up the Paladin mod and did not get the path as a choice. Therefore, I believe the problem lies with that mod and not yours.

 Finally other member with unique buildings problem! Thanks, i thougt i am lame! But path of paladin works and it`s fun. You just need to mousewheel down when you see standart paths, and voila path of paladin is now accesible for you :D I think he just forgot to remove that cheater item in patch.

 

 EDIT: now i can see in Path of Pladin thread this does not work for you, but it is for me, maybe because its only new path i have mod for.

If it sez "You shouldn't be having this", then it should be obvious, no? :grin:

I used it for testing, but forgot to remove it from the sovereign.

 

 

Regarding the icons and the path: I'm not having those problems, as both show up to me. I'm playing with a bunch of mods too. Could it be that one of your mods is causing problems?

So the question would be: Which mods are you playing with?

 

you should get the latest paladin mods, instal it normally, then install my files over his (if you want). It will work normally with the regular paladin mod. Heck, it should work without it (but recruiting Sir Lotion might be problematic. He's the only one that has PathOfThePaladin). Just removing paladin abilities from him in the units.xml should do the trick if you want to play without the Paladin mod..

 

 

Hm...question - do you have the Fevor mod? I bsically copied the church and cathedral from there.

Me, I don`t have such mod (fervor) 

Mods in use with yours : Blood & Mana, Champions Bonanza, Snaking, River City Bridge and Path of Paladin (overwritten by your files)

I don't think the it's because it's the only new path. I play the game with Mages and Demons and it adds a summoner.

I can see both the summoner and paladin paths just fine.
