Hillary for president

Think of it; thanks to President Obama’s lack of leadership experience and slavish need to follow ideology over what is best for the nation Mr. Obama has guaranteed that Mrs. Clinton will be the next president of the United States.

He is done this by pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan way before the two countries are ready or safe for freedom to take hold. And for the record the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are not the longest wars in American history. The Korean War is the longest war in our history it has been going on since the 50’s without stop. American service men and women are still being killed over there, but since it is a democrat war nobody wants to bring that up.

He has also allowed the Russians to start moving in ways that are reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the attempted annexation of Ukraine as the Nazi’s annexed the Sudetenland kicking off WWII.

The third thing the President did was to put us in hock to the Chinese to the point that 46% of what we spend as a nation is borrowed from China so rebuilding our economy will be painfully difficult at best.

To add insult to injury the President has thrown open the gates letting every and any person the right to walk in and take up residence and full access to our assistance programs. All of this will lead to our nation being over extended on all fronts.

With these conditions left for the next president what competent person in either party would what the job? That leaves Mrs. Clinton, a failure in her own right, an open door to the presidency. Anyone remember Hillary care? There is scant difference between Hillary care and the affordable care act other than the ACA is less draconian than what Mrs. Clinton proposed in the 90’s. Her stint as Secretary of State has proven she has no clue about foreign policy, our closest ally, the United Kingdom, has already broken the relationship with the United States and the distance is only getting greater.

My point is that without a strong president we are looking at a war by 2017. In this I hope I'm very wrong. Who will save us when President Obama leaves office? If it is a republican then the republican president will get the blame just as President Bush got the blame for 9/11 when it was President Clinton that allowed the attackers to enter the country and refused to go after them when the evidence proved they were here for attacks five years before the attack. What would make anyone believe that Mrs. President Clinton would be any tougher?

So back to my question, what COMPETENT politician would be dumb enough to take the job?

Who said there were not a lot of incompetent ones on both sides?

My dear friend, my question was not left or right, democrat or republican but one of competence. I am a conservative and before the purges in the late 70’s there were conservatives in both parties. I could care less if the person is democrat or republican I am looking for a replacement for the current occupant of the White House that will fix the mess he created. To do this we need a competent person. I am asking if there are any that can unscrew the mess that the last one made.

This is what I see happening and to illustrate the problem allow me to ramble a bit.

President Carter got rid of the Shah of Iran. In doing so the brotherhood was no longer constrained and killed President Sadat the only other country in the region that was friends with Israel.

President Bush was a liberal with some conservative leanings but at least he didn’t bend over and let the world have at him.

President Clinton didn’t close the borders when we started getting word that we were under attack, allowing almost a thousand terrorists into the country to support the 9/11 attacks.

President Bush was a liberal that had a spine and at least understood that if you show weakness we lose.

President Obama has just opened the borders again and has surrendered the Middle East to our enemies under the guise of bringing our troops home.

We will be attacked in the next four years because this is the time table. Secretary Clinton if she does not step on her breasts with golf shoes will easily get the nomination from her party because no one else will step up. The current crop of republicans are worthless so far so we have no competent person that will be seeking the job of president of the United States.

The last two conservative presidents were President Kennedy and President Reagan

President Kennedy got us into Vietnam. President Reagan stopped the cold war built up the economy and made sure no one messed with us on his watch.

So tell me GUY, who do you know that can fix our economy, get Russia off our butts, and slow down the terrorists?

Paladin, we are not in disagreement.

You seemed to think that Hillary was the only incompetent one that would seek the job.  I stated there were enough on both side (parties) to seek it and the baggage Hillary carries would probably preclude her from winning.

I agree with your general assessment.  However, JFK would not have made the mess of Vietnam that LBJ did (the little general).  JFK was a throw back to the old school - perhaps right, perhaps wrong - that does not believe in handcuffing his generals.

Regardless, I am a conservative as well. I would love for a strong conservative to step up and fix the mess (although I do not see if being fixed in one term -it has been a long time being created).

As for who I know (want) that could fix it.  I see one very strong candidate.  Sarah Palin.  I see several that need some seasoning but could do wonders in the future.

Politics are just a means of advancing one's personal agenda, typically an increase in wealth and or control. The few that might do it for the "greater" good, are often corrupted or marginalized. Usually the best we can hope for nowadays is that the politicians greed and ambitions are in line with our own desires.

When government service becomes less of a career, and more of an appointment, with out the perks, without people coming out of office as multi-millionaires while the publics share of the debt increases.
