Stoke yesterday fought back from a 1-0 deficit, to beat Derby County 2-1, in the league encounter at the Britannia Stadium.
Stoke conceded one of the quickest goals of the day, as Mills struck for Derby after only 59 seconds. Stoke though, fought hard after the early set back, to continue their excellent run of current form. A goal from Ade Akinbiyi, in the 28th minute, was enough to ensure the two teams went in on equal terms, and it was Stoke's Gerry Taggart who had the final word on the outcome of this match, by scoring after 53 minutes. Taggart, on loan from Premiership outfit Leicester City, secured another month's contract at the Britannia earlier in the week, and it has been his excellent performances and committment over the past few games, that has ensured Stoke's run of form, enough to send them 12 points clear of the Relegation battle.
