Yes, the comedic world is a lesser place without him in it.

I liked him in Drop Dead Fred with [Snot Face] Pheobe Cates... my kids loved that movie and my grandkids are growing up with it as well.

RIP Rik Mayall, at just 56 you left us far too soon. :'(
