[LH 1.8] [Gremlin] ResourceType

53+ ResourceType in the \Mods\ folder creates some serious issues w/ map generation:

 

e.g. 

Debug Message: Placing random resources..154 requested.
Debug Message: Placed 19 resources

Just in relation to this, I did as instructed (removed certain xtradeconstruct resources) and the map resource generation then did work correctly. I noticed that necro revamped is listed as 1.6 compatible, so I again added it in, but then noticed it too adds more resources. Am I right in assuming that this will again push me over the 122 resource limit? How can someone check the overall resources to try and avoid this problem?

 

Edit: Sorry, wizards and demons was the mod that added more resources (which I also installed). With this mod also installed, their is again resource generation problems (a little different, stone, grain are appearing, but crystals are not)

Primal i've not seen this problem... do you mean 122 types of resources... or 122 instances of resource...

Are you saying that if the map has to place more than 122 total resources (of any kinda) thats when there are problems...?

So to clarify:

 

1. Even if resources are moved to the English folder (as in the four from d & w), the TOTAL amount is what is important, ie this movement does not free up four more slots?

 

2. If COS is used in full, then 47 are used, meaning  6 spare, meaning 7 from D & W....cannot be used. 

 

3. COS+4 from xtradeconstruct (missing the three files / 17 slots) can be used for total of 47+4=51

 

4. cos +modified xtra+ Necro = 47+4+1=52, so can be used.

 

Hmm. While I see that removing the river mod free's up 19, a lot of the races in Cos interact with river resources specifically. I am at a bit of a loss here as D $ W is really a must as well, and because I am new to your mod who know what I am missing out on with the 17 (Arcanium = 9, FaithAir = 4, Shards = 4) removed. Surely this problem has come up before now, seems a bit strange that more people aren't reporting these problems (as I see in many posts people saying I use COS and this mod or that  ... etc etc, which add multiple new resources types) Regardless, again, thanks for your support. Not sure what I am going to cut???

Dear Stardock, 

Not sure why there is a limitation on this.... but it would be really great if you could take a look at it for us.  We want to create big awesome mods for this great game and this is a bit of a problem.

Ideally no limit would be the best outcome.

Bump.

@ Stardock, seems to be quite a few people getting this and similar issues with resources on random maps.  I realize it might be a mod thing, but would be great if it can be looked at for 1.7.

There may be *cough* a few resourcetypes that I don't actually use in CoS. I'll go through them next patch.
