We do also have the option of swapping folks that play specific champs into roles if we've decided we need a champ for our team comp. 

I  played like rot last night and ping was unfun.  Glad we went 2/2 all said and done.  Hoping my net is less gp tonight at any rate.

@Cow, I never really have an itch to grind out games. I find it to be an overall tedious and strenuous task.

However, I played what so far... A total of maybe 5 games? 4/1 so far, bumped my MMR some and am still gaining about 25 LP in P1 .

Time for some stats.

 

Past week, win rates are trending up for some unusual candiates - Using past week, SR, Plat level.

  • Amumu - 55.28%
  • RAMMUS - 54.69% (presumably new jung item)
  • Fiddle - 54.57%
  • Talon - 54.54%
  • WW - 54.36%
  • Fiora - 53.80%
  • Trist - 53.76% w/ pick rate of 28.22% all games
  • Ash - 53.71%

Things of interest - rammus moving up is pretty weird.  He obv benefits from the new jungle item... just seems weird that he's that popular.  Talon as well staying near the top - he's actually been in the top 10 for like 30 days now for win rate at plat.  Kind of suprised to see trist get such a bump in pick % at 28.22% vs 18% for past 30 days. 

Win rate on cait is way down.  Here pick rate went update quite a bit with the last patch (picked 41% of the time in plat) but win rate is pretty bad for adc - 50.80%.

Statistically speaking, the late game scaling trist is the curent power house.

If your play rate is 40%, it shouldn't be a huge surprise that your winrate is really close to 50%. The fact that it is above 50% with such a huge playrate says she's really good.

There was also the bug-fix on her autoattacks that was a benefit (she could autoattack thru Yasuo walls and attacked 0.25 seconds faster than her animation showed).

aw... that's a bummer.  Ended up being busy pretty much all day yesterday.  Glad to hear he's alive and in one piece anyway.  I'll be around later today/tonight anyway.

It was great to play with Swan again, but it's probably a good thing you didn't show up since the games were a bit frustrating.  My back is still sore from carrying Cow's 12/3/13 Gangplank to victory one game.  Thank little baby Jesus that I had the wherewithal to kill steal from Cow (including a first blood that he was going to get from ignite!) numerous times, so that not too much gold was wasted on him.

Thunder - solo/duo queue with cow's gp the rest of the season.  I'll cheer you on. 

Quite note - karl said he'll be out for a few days (2-3 maybe?).  Just fyi.

On a reflective note - man - tonight was a bit of a bummer for me as a whole.  Managed to get 6 or 7 games in.  Won like 3 of them.

  • Game 1 with mc folks - dumb comp - I do well, but we lose over comp issues
  • Game 2 - terrible enemy jungler w/ cow/thunder bot w/ thunder running support gp and trolling - we win
  • Game 3 - zen decides to try out graggy and does bad.  Cow decides to work on his zed.  Eventually smeh flows over into all lanes - loss not on cow btw.
  • Game 4 - only karl/pacov/cow remain - karl top as ww annoyed that the jungler isn't ganking his lane.  Pacov forced into  support goes graggy.  Does fine but that's because its a bad lane - 180+ ping most of the game.  we win.
  • Game 5 - Nidalee top - I just play poorly.  Game mostly lost due to me imo
  • Game 6 - Twitch bot - complete troll game... jungle poppy... top lane adc that gave up after 15-18 minutes and just solo pushed ignoring anything that happened.  we lose

Recap aside - the only game I actually enjoyed all night was nunu jungle.. and that one was against a crap team.  Bad numbers when its 1 out of 6-7 games.  And I only liked that as I was able to contribute a bunch to the game.  Already agitated as I'm starting on call w/ work in 4 min - was just hoping to have a bit more fun tonight and less everyone picking dumb comps or champs they are weak at or telling me gp is amazing to try to bust my balls or doing w/e they feel like or me playing like smeh when I get a solo lane.  bleh.  Bummer of a night for me.  Hopefully tomorrow is back to some more fun stuff or I'm in a better mood anyway.

Finally got demoted from Diamond! WOOO Maybe ill try to get it back maybe I wont. Its been win 15 lp lose 30 for a while now kind of glad that that might be over.

I'd almost want to try that!  Cow is so good with GP that it might end up being quite an elo boost.  When I get my internet situation sorted out, we'll have to see what happens if he's willing.

 

Re: GP Support

I've seen a very high level Support player use GP Support in a high Diamond game and do very well.  I don't know if it's secretly kinda OP, or bad, but I know it's not the worst.  I just wanted to play a Support champ I used to play a bit and know has the possibility to do well.  I think all this recent GP debate we've been having got me stoked on him again, and I know Cow didn't mind.. and since he was the ADC I think that's really what mattered.  

Even if I'm doing something like Urgot Support, it's because I think there might be potential and want to find out.  I don't really remember the last time I purposefully trolled my friends, unless it was when everyone was fucking around.

Well looks like my MMR hasn't changed with the demotion. Lost my first game despite dominating with Viktor -25 league points

Laundry is live for me as well! My roommate decided it would be a good idea to fill up the tub and forget about it so we had water all the way down my hall way. Needless to say every towel in the place is no longer dry and the floor is still wet... So I am off to dry some towels.... WOOO....

Did a bunch of team builder tonight -played rango jungle.  Had alot of fun once I figured out how to play him. 

For those that don't know, here's the combo.  Before a fight, get max stacks.  Ult.  Hop to enemy and use your empowered e to snare in place for 1.75 seconds.  Wail on them with your other abilities/aa's.  You build bonus ferocity immediately after stealth, so wait and time another 1.75 second empowered stun.  Even going a low damage build, the cc is strong enough that you get a kill if someone else there.  Decent odds solo as well.  All games I went ff as my only dmg item.  Defense the rest of the way.  So, you have lower burst, but as long as you don't have an urgot top and an  afk support, you should be fine.  hue... had that last game.  On the bright side, people wanted to play it out... on the real bright side, got to play mostly fun stuff tonight.

Heimer is the bane of my existence in smurf games.  Pushes all day long, I can't kill him 1v1 cause you can't "outplay" even a low skill Heimer who's hanging out in a turret farm with his ult up, and the Low Silver/High Bronze jungler on my side has no interest in ganking cause turrets is scary.  Gonna run TP against him next time, that should work better.

I don't see how it's trolling playing Heimer.  Is he bad nowadays?  Pacov used to play him constantly as a support so I'm sure he wouldn't get upset if you started playing him in normals with us if you want to practice...

And don't leave me hanging man, your Heimer mid and my GP Support can get me to Plat and you back to Diamond if we Duo... if you believe it can!  Nobody will fuck with you in your turret farm when my ult is up.

You should do that.  I will provide color commentary of your games and shoutcast.  Let's make an event of it!  I heard cow even got demoted just so the 2 of you could queue together.

edit - oh and cow has been playing donger here and there in our games.  I don't mind.  

Also, if you have any interest in all the ddos attacks and security breaches of the past, you should read this.  Very informative.

Really interested read re: that "hacker." Curious to see what the outcome will be of his day in court.  Fairly happy to see that he was caught. 

Dongers primarily, imo, a troll pick only as a support or jungler.  He's ok out of top, but best as a mid.  He's reasonably strong - just has some weaknesses - his roam is smeh and his cc and non turret damage are skillshot based.  I've seen him played really well by some.  Not someone I'd generally want as a mid, but he can certainly work well. 

Tonight's my last "normal" night of sleep for a few days.  Late night work a few days in a row inbound for me. 

I'm really enjoying the full tank jungle rango.  Lots of fun to play as.  Prob log some more time with him tonight.
