Snagit 12 Released–Best Capture Software for Windows

I've been talking about recommending Snagit from the folks over at Techsmith for many years.  I use it daily, and it's an essential app in my toolbox that I use for my work at Stardock and any other projects I might be working on.  They are also from Michigan, and I've had the pleasure of interacting with them for a while as well, so I was happy to see they released a new version of Snagit for both PC and Mac today.

Among the variety of new features, it has an updated user interface, better capture experience, video trimming, and more.

They offer a free trial to check out the new version, and if you are a previous owner you can upgrade for half the cost.

Yes, I took a look over at their site and it looks like a very handy tool that may assist me with some of the video work I do for the family.  However, the full price is a little more than I could manage just now, being that I'm currently saving for the pro version of Multiplicity, but it is a tool that I've earmarked for future consideration.  I will give the trial a go to see how it works and etc, but I just have this feeling it is a software I will like to use... or maybe it's just that I trust your word/judgement on it.

So thanks for the heads up on this, ID... I have bookmarked techsmith.com so I can easliy locate it when needed

I use Ashampoo Snap 7

I got that somewhere, now that I think of it.  I have a few Ashampoo apps I've purchased over the years, and I'm sure that's one of 'em.  As I recall, I picked it up in one of their specials, up to 5 software titles for 20 bucks, and installed it on the Beast.  The sides are off it for now and currently I'm doing a bit of maintenance on it so can't check right now, but I'm sure Snap 7 was one of them.  Will have to cop an optic later to see if my memory is correct.

I have SnagIt 11, have had snagit, and beta tested snagit, since way back. They usually send me free upgrades, haven't seen one for this yet.
