The ship designer is out now in the the alpha 2.0 patch, so when have a that ship designed feel free to post it here and so others can see what kind of cool things you can build with it.
Only my 2nd day playing around with Alpha. Here is my B5 "inspired" Earth Destroyer, with rotating centre section for the purpose of creating gravity.
I really am enjoying the extra power of the new ship designer. Something I feel does need work though, is the component selection process, which is quite fiddly.
Anyway, love it!

Later added some engines and weapons so that ship became useful with hit&run tactics

Ok first i want to say, awesome ships guys! I really would like to add them ALL into my shipyard. They look really great!
Here are some of my creations of the Terran battlefleet:
The PANDORA Mk. I starfighter This is the newest generation of starfighters within the Tb.
The AVENGER starfighter the workhorse when it comes to the standart starfighters within the navy.
The BERLIN battleship, Brutal firepower combined with elegant design.
The DEVASTOR battleship. Biggest battleship in the terran space navy.
The NOVA Mk. I corvette. Firepower, firepower, firepower !
The DOMINATOR class corvette. Balanced corvette. Standart pattern for the terran space navy.
nice ships, I really like the Avenger. I'm gonna have to experiment with a quad wing fighter.
I really like your design's Ed. Have you seen the new Captain Harlock movie? some really nice design's.
lost all the ships with install of beta update 
. I'll miss them, I thought it be the case so I had quit equipping them.
ED did you back up your ship files ??? if you did them put the in the New folder called Designs.

Woohoo, I love the Beta, the huge hulls are in. After celebrating some real life events, I cooled down spending the evening in the designer. I'm posting just the default view, because I am posting multiple ships. Is that good enough for showing off a design or do the other views really help?
Navinor, what do you think of my quad wing fighter?
It looks great. i would add it as an heavy attack fighter into my navy.

Playing with some of the new features. A simple fighter design for the Irridium. (Devs, there are 3 options that say flip vertically), one will interchange the color pallette, not flip it vertically.

Thanks, I really like the fact that we can switch the colors. That small addition, really adds a LOT to designing these ships.
Because I like to make fighters and small ships here is another one. I've got to make a cap ship some day...

It seems to be really easy to make irridium ships to look like birds in space.
All of your ships are really awesome. It makes me sad because I can't access the ship builder on the beta. :'C
